3. Discuss the seminal contributions of A K Ramanujan to folk literature, especially to folktales.

A.K. Ramanujan is widely regarded as one of the most important scholars of Indian folklore and literature. He made several seminal contributions to the study of folk literature, including folktales, that have had a significant impact on the field. Ramanujan's work on Indian folktales is particularly noteworthy. 

He collected and analyzed folktales from different regions of India and compared them to folktales from other parts of the world. He also explored the relationship between folktales and other forms of Indian literature, such as the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.
